HSE Manager
JRS Associates have partnered up with an established manufacturing business to recruit an experienced HSE Manager to lead and develop the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental function. This is a senior leadership position focused on driving a proactive “Safety First” culture, ensuring full legal compliance, and embedding robust HSE systems across a high-risk manufacturing environment.
The Successful HSE Manager - Package:
- £55,000 per annum

The Successful HSE Manager - Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience within an HSE role in a manufacturing or chemical environment
- Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and environmental compliance
- Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 systems
- Proven experience managing accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Experience with COSHH, DSEAR, Permit to Work systems, and contractor management
- Strong knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous waste regulations
- Experience leading audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities
- Ability to lead behavioural safety initiatives and embed a positive HSE culture
- NEBOSH General Certificate or Diploma essential
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Strong reporting, compliance, and HSE governance experience
- Experience within a high-risk manufacturing or process environment highly advantageous
- Exposure to Process Safety Management (PSM), HAZOPs, and Management of Change (MoC) desirable
- Experience working with environmental permits, water treatment, or effluent systems advantageous
