An experienced Freelance Project Manager is required to oversee a major groundworks and infrastructure package on a large-scale construction development near Darlington.
Working for an established and respected groundworks contractor, the successful Project Manager will take responsibility for the delivery of a Β£7β8 million package of works, managing operational delivery, programme performance, subcontractor coordination and client liaison throughout the project lifecycle.
This role is ideally suited to a Project Manager with a strong background delivering large-scale groundworks packages and infrastructure works for specialist groundworks businesses.
Scope of Works
- Managing a Β£7β8 million groundworks package
- Overseeing drainage and infrastructure installation
- Managing foundations and substructure works
- Coordinating external works packages
- Supervising on-site infrastructure and associated civils works
- Managing site teams, subcontractors and engineering staff
- Monitoring programme, sequencing and delivery targets
- Client liaison and coordination with the wider construction team
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Project Manager for an established groundworks contractor
- Strong background delivering large-scale groundworks and civils packages
- Good understanding of drainage, foundations, substructure and external works
- Strong programming and planning capability
- Ability to manage programme, sequencing and site logistics effectively
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
